Skills: � MSEE plus 0 to 3 years of RF design/product experience, or
BSEE plus 0 to 5 years RF design/product experience
� Communication design experience including knowledge of
analog and digital modulation schemes (AMPS, GSM, TDMA,
CDMA) is desirable.
� Strong engineering fundamentals in mixed-signal
� Board design experience with mixed-signal components
� Strong written / verbal communication & presentation
skills
� Strong troubleshooting and debug skills
� Working knowledge of:
o Microsoft Office tools or equivalent
o Schematic capture and PCB layout (OrCAD, PADS, or
equivalent EDA tool)
o RF / EM simulation tools
o Visual Basic and/or C programming
o Laboratory test equipment
Scope: Primary activities include providing RF technical product
support at the RF system and component level. The RF
applications engineer will be responsible for assisting in
the development of new standard and custom RF IC products,
developing data sheets and application notes, and
representing the customer's interests to the company's
sales, marketing, design and manufacturing groups. Duties
will also include designing evaluation boards, programming,
and writing technical documents.
Responsibilities
� Serve as technical interface to the customer.
� Design customer evaluation boards, develop software tools,
and create support documentation.
� Provide the sales organization and field applications
engineers with technical support.
� Provide application / system design support to the IC
design teams.
� Assist in design verification testing of integrated
circuits.
