Scope:        Performs application design for software development and
              maintenance activities for the companys Vision21 data
              warehouse and related systems.  Uses business and system
              understanding to ensure that technical designs accomplish
              all project objectives and functional requirements.
              Regularly participates in analysis activities and frequently
              works with system users and stakeholders.  May also perform
              critical and complex software development, maintenance, and
              testing activities.  As a senior technical resource,
              conducts work planning, responsible for work of less
              experienced team members.  Defines and enforces standards
              and reusable approaches.  Provides on-call support for
              production systems often being an escalation point for
              critical and complex issues.
