GtkAda 2.2.0 - Glade-2 can't create a project

I'm taking a first shot at using GtkAda 2.2.0 and running into a
show-stopper when trying to create a project with Glade-2. I'm using
pretty much the default options except for picking my own directory and
project name & I get the following:

(glade-2.exe:1928): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_property_delete: General case
not implem
ented

(glade-2.exe:1928): Gdk-WARNING **: window 0x00110466 unexpectedly destroyed

This is on a Windows XP platform. Anybody got a clue as to what is going
on? Its a pretty significant flaw for a tool if you can't create a project.

RH7.1: Switching libc.so.6 from 2.2.2 to 2.2.4 can't login now
Like an idiot, I attempted to "upgrade" my libc.so.6 from 2.2.2 to 2.2.4 by changing the symbolic link in /lib/i686 to point to the "newer" version. Now I cannot login, no account is known and CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work so I have to kill the power each time I attempt to boot. How can I re-point that symbolic link if I can't get a root login prompt? I don't seem to have an option to enter single user mode. Help. [pysqlite 2.0.2] UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 44-45: invalid data
A fetchall() call causes the above error. There must be some non-utf8 chars in the table in question and - indeed - there very likely are: The table contains pathnames of files on the harddisk of a German "speaking" PC. What I have already done to try to overcome this is: - Inserted "# coding: iso-8859-1" (w/o the quotes) in (hopefully) every file of my project - All strings I could find prefixed with "u" (w/o the quotes) - Changed plain calls to execute(q) into execute(unicode(q)) Alas, I am not sure if this all makes really sense, and, obviously it doesn't...

2 * 2 * 2 * 2 or pow(2, 4)?
Hi , I hope this isn't too trivial to ask, but I'm evaluating a polynomial that involve lots of terms like x^2y^2z^3, and although I can use the power function pow(a, b), I wonder if just writing x*x*y*y*z*z*z for example wouldn't be more efficient than pow(x, 2)*pow(y, 2)*pow(z,3). Or is it all the same? linspace(2,2,2) returns [2 2] ??
May be the help for linspace should change? It says: "LINSPACE(X1, X2, N) generates N points between X1 and X2." Notice, it says BETWEEN. But when I ask for 2 points, between 2 and 2: ---------------- EDU>> linspace(2,2,2) ans = 2 2 --------------- May be mathematically this is ok? i.e. there are infinite points between the point and itself? (on the real line), but from programming point of view, it is confusing. no? --Nasser Maybe it should say "generates N points between X1 and X2, inclusive." What did you expect to get back as an answer from issuing linspace(2,2,2)? I didn't understand your statement "there are infinite points between the point and itself?" How do you have an infinite number of points between 2 and 2? I can see an infinite number of points between 2 and something that's not itself, like 2.00000000000000001, but if they are absolutely perfectly identical how are you getting an infinite number of points? Can't get PCI Network Card to Work
Hello, I have an IBM Pentium III 663MHz PC (desktop) which I've been trying to get a Linux Distro to work on with Networking successfully. I know it can be done, because this box has been loaded with an early version of Redhat and operated as a web server. I wanted to start fresh so I wiped the system clean with Redhat 8 - which was able to come up quickly and correctly detect the network card that was installed. However it could not "initialize" the card. I knew that Redhat 8 had some issues, so I installed Redhat 7.2. The results were the same. So know I've taken out the "big guns" - as it seems that Knoppix (4.0.2 in my case) will work with just about everything. But the results, sadly, are not much different. PCI is my only choice as the IBM only has PCI slots. I have two NICs that I've tried - and the results are pretty much the same: Card #1: This was the card that has been in there when the box was a web server - 3Com 10/100 TX Fast Etherlink XL PCI 2 - 3c905B-TX NM All three distros are able to probe the card correctly and select (what I would guess to be) the correct driver. I've tried toassign an IP through DHCP and also by assigning it a static IP - neither case worked. Card #2: (Test individually - not at the same time as card #1) - D-Link DFE-530TX REV-A1 All three distros were also able to select the correct driver for this card. I tried both DHCP and static IP. When I assigned the DLink an IP, and tried to ping my r...

[wxMac 2.4.2, OSX 10.2] Can't transfer executable
Hi Mac ppl! I think I've successfully built my app, but I can't execute it on the SF compile farm and my attempts to transfer it to a tester's machine have failed so far. I'm certain that it's because I can't maintain the forks and from what I've read, I need to BinHex the app before I transfer it, but I can't find an executable by that name on the server. Any suggestions would be appreciated - though, step-by-step instructions to transfer the file would be more appreciated. ;^) ===== Brian Perkins http://wxtlg.sourceforge.net/ -...

Bootable CD created in G3 10.2.6 can't boot in G5 10.2.7
I created a bootable CD containing Disk Warrior in G3 10.2.6. Works fine. In my G5, the SuperDrive accepts this disk and puts the icon on the desktop. System Preferences recognizies it as a bootable CD. When I change the Prefereneces to boot with this CD on Restart, OR hold down the 'C' key on restart, the G5 'tries' to read the CD, but doesn't boot up in it. I get my regular internal HD 10.2.7.
