[9.2.2] Hogwasher a fine alternative to MT-NewsWatcher
Hello, Recently, I switched from MT-NewsWatcher to Hogwasher on my G4 Sawtooth, because MT-NW, after years of faithful service, had a rash of crashes that I couldn't remedy after trying several times, using several different techniques. I installed HogWasher 4.1.1, spent some time getting used to the interface and functionality, and learned to use it for reading and posting (obviously), as well as for downloading and extracting binaries. I'm pleased to report that it has performed flawlessly so far, and so I recommend it to anyone who has used and liked MT-NW, but for whatever...

CMBright alternative #2
I'm using HFBright fonts (located at http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/ps-type1/hfbright/ ) for my Sans-Serif fonts for onscreen presentations. Even though many of the math letters are "bright", some of the symbols (e.g. $\int$, $\sum$, etc.) are still skinny (with serifs). I was looking at the CMBright fonts at http://www.micropress-inc.com/samples/hfonts.htm to find a bright version of these symbols. I was wondering if anyone has made free versions of these fonts (a la the free hfbright fonts) available. Thanks, -- Troy Henderson Assistant Professor Department of Mathe...

Using external functions in AWK #2
Hi all, I have a basic doubt. Is there any way to use external functions (i.e. functions not defined in AWK), in AWK. I have a shell script in which I'm using a small AWK snippet. In this snippet I'm calling a function defined in the shell script. But the AWK snippet is not working. I figured that this problem was due to the use of external function in AWK. KNXLive! an open soirce alternative to ETS #2
Hi to all. I'm newby on home automation but not in embedded system. After some research on BUS technology I chose to start from KNX (for the fully complies to the EN 50090 series, the European Standard for Home and Building Electronic Systems and ISO/IEC 14543). I chose KNX also for high availability of devices producers (as ABB and Siemens). But when I tried to search for system programming and integration I found that all people talking about the use a commercial software (ETS) and API(Falcon) made from KNX Association (http://www.konnex.org/). I'm disappointed: open standard and...

Non power of 2 natural counter
Hi, I like using a restricted range natural type for counters. e.g. variable TimeslotCount : natural range 0 to TIMESLOTS_PER_FRAME-1; ...
