Assembler question?

  • Follow

I know this is off topic but, Assembler forum is dead so here we go?

I'm programming in 80386 Intel environment

How do I printed out a value that's in a register

like example

mov bx, 3

how would I print out bx to the screen to see the value 3?

Any help is welcome

Thanks and sorry for the intrusion

Try:
alt.lang.asm
comp.lang.asm.x86
They seem active to me.

You would probably find instant answer with a google search.

Starting a post with that should get a person automatically kill-filed,

You don't order a Big Mac at the auto parts store just because McDonalds

Kevin Goodsell decides to take it upon himself to reprimand jova
on behalf of all comp.lang.c++ subscribers:

Does anyone think that Kevin was trying to be helpful here?
Anyway, jova takes the bait:

 > shut up asshole

Now Kevin is outraged and indignant:

This pattern has been repeated so many times that I wonder,
"Does anybody still think that this is funny?"
Or is this just perverse entertainment for indigenous trolls?
Does anybody think that the comp.lang.c++ newsgroup needs
self-appointed off-topic cops?
Why couldn't Kevin just ignore the off-topic question?
Or why couldn't he simply redirect the question?

Like Frosted Flake did:

 > comp.lang.asm.x86
 > They seem active to me.

for which jova appears to be grateful:

 > Thanks for the group.
 > I was currently subscribed to alt.os.assembly which is dead?

The best way to deal with off-topic questions is to ignore them.
The best way to deal with off-topic cops is to ignore them.

This should go in the FAQ so you aren't forced to acknowledge the
aforementioned offenders.

No.
Please, unless you really are a troll,
just apologize to Kevin Goodsell and then ignore him.

Yeah, you could do that. Or, you could apologize for your rude language on
the newsgroup. But somehow I doubt that you'll choose that route. Care to
prove me wrong?

Now, if Kevin Goodsell would only apologize to you ...

Speaking for the group, if I may...apology accepted. (And thanks for
proving me wrong!)
