Windows 7/64 bit and Wise

  • Follow

Got a serious problem! My application setup.exe (done with old Wise
installation program version 4) will not run on Windows 7 64 bit. Copying
the application with all dlls will run fine. Should I upgrade (600$ !!!) or
is there any suggestions for a good and cheap installation program for
VO2.7?

Kari,

What Phil said. I've been generally pleased with my purchase of Advanced
Installer as an alternative to upgrading Wise.

Here we go again.......
When you google, you find a thread with about a zillion posts about
installers.
There are several, but if your installer is just copying files, all
installers are fine.

InnoSetup (+ISTool) is free
Advanced installer has a free version with limitations (Ask Dick ;-) )

We use Inno. Free and complete withou restrictions

Advanced Installer.

Free isn't everything. You only get what you pay for.
