Hi All,
The Free DEMO of VXH is now available. It is included in the Free DEMO of
xHarbour Builder October 2005 Release. The download is available from
http://www.xHarbour.com and does NOT require any registration, or activation
of any kind.
You may download using the following direct link:

only restriction is a time limit of 7 minutes per session, and same

Ron,

With this limitation in mind what would be a suggested course of
actions in evaluating the product? One feature at a time?
TIA, Eugene

I can not guess what you may be able to do with 6 minutes. For me, few
sessions give a fairly good idea of whether the product is of probable value
or not. How long do you normally allocate to evaluate a demo product, before
you ultimately decide to either buy it, or drop it?

"How long do you normally allocate to evaluate a demo product, before
you ultimately decide to either buy it, or drop it?"
Typically a (14, 21, or 30) day unrestricted evaluation that is
controlled by date tracking by the product at time of installation with
post-evaluation limitation by removal of a key product feature, e.g.:
[Save Project] which protects your investment but would still allow the
developer to load & review a previously saved project following
expiration of the evaluation period.
The application runtime session timeout, while understandable &
necessary, seems a bit restrictive at first glance: this statement is
based on previous experience, not because I have downloaded, installed,
or tested your product. A longer (15-30) minute runtime session
timeout would allow for more realistic development & pre-production
testing for projects with complex GUI and data access features (ie:
network applications), while still affording the protection you
require.
Regards,
Bob

Thanks for your input. We have decided to increase the session time limit to
15 minutes, and will offer a new Demo, possibly as early as tomorrow.
Thanks again,
Ron
