Note that newsgroup FAQ had its days in the 1990s. Today, it's not
relevant. Vast majority of newsgroups don't maintain a FAQ now.
comp.lang.functional is typically used to discuss functional
programing and its languages.
if you want summarized info about functional langs, Wikipedia is now
the best resource in the world for that, in the quantity of info and
quality.
if you want to discuss particular functional lang, usually there are
dedicated mailing lists.
