http://www.faqs.org/faqs/by-newsgroup/comp/comp.lang.java.gui.html
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/
http://mindprod.com/jgloss/guifaq.html
AFAIK there isn't a currently maintained comp.lang.java.gui FAQ in the
traditional sense.

First of all, do not set followup to unrelated groups!
What is that about?

There's a troll posting similar messages to a bunch of different groups,
all with f'ups set to comp.lang.c, and all with forged headers to make it
look like his trolls were sent by one of the regulars there.

Yeah, I was just figuring that out. The real Keith Thompson just
posted a warning about this the other day in clj.programmer, but left
out the part about spoofing the regulars.
One really has to wonder what the thrill is for the troll - how does
it benefit from such jejune disruptions?
Anyhow, sorry, Keith, that I didn't spot the fraud quicker.
