Problems with Serialization

Hi, i'm using jHotDraw package to create my figures. i' ve this
problem: i must save my figures in drawApplication (only TextAreaFigure
and ElbowConnection) so i know that i can use the Serialization
interface. Now my TextAreaFigure and ElbowConnection implement
this interface. I save my graph as Serializzation(ser) but when i open
it i have the next exception: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0"
java.lang.NullPointerException
Can you help me?
