I am trying to find out if Tapestry is any good for the kind of
web application that I am trying to write. What I want to do is
programmatically create web pages, that is to say in Java code,
without any templates. The reason is that the GUI I want to implement
in the web page is served by a remote server via a proprietary
protocol.

I have found an example of how this could possible (in principle)
done with Java Server Pages, but I have trouble deploying the
example on Tomcat. That is why I want to consider an alternative
framework.
