Javascript only works with Firefox

  • Follow

Hi everyone, i wrote some javascript to test the users input on my quote page. It's work good so far but today i did further tests and noticed it doesnt work at all on Opera, IE, Safari, Chrome, Avant... and i'm guessing any other browser.

my url is britishcarpetcleaners.com

the page is carpet-cleaning-prices

An example of the script not working:
If in firefox and you enter a post code and a job (eg 1 chair) and click the send me my quote button - you should get an error message saying the email address is invalid. This works but not in any other browser.

I'm not that great at these things but learn as i go. I built the website myself so i know a bit but if you can make any replies to the post as simple as possible that would be great.

many thanks
Rob

If and when you find a forum where questions about Javascript are
actually on-topic (this newsgroup is about Java, not Javascript), you
should make sure that you present your question in a more appropriate
way. Specifically, rather than just asking people to go visit some
random, live commercial web site, post a concise-but-complete code
example that reliably reproduces the problem.

See http://www.sscce.org/ for more details.

And, "britis04", you'll want to clean up your English. You can't even spell
"I" correctly, and it's only one letter long!

Can you spell "spammer", being one?

You advertise a commercial site in an inappropriate group and you have the
temerity to insult Pete? I wave my shoe sole in your face, pig eater.

You're an illiterate boob. Go to hell.

Sending someone to hell for spamming is not uncommon, but
doing so for misspelled "i" seems like overacting. I'm even
amazed that you found britis04's posts worth your time for
three answers so far.

On behalf of everyone on this group, I would like to inform you that
Java and JavaScript are two very different languages. The forum you are
looking for is in fact comp.lang.javascript.

You completely misunderstand me. My problem with britis04 is his excoriation
of Peter Duniho when all Pete did was provide useful information.

Which might have been clearer had you not chosen to excise the relevant part
of the post I quoted.
