Need Help for integrating Tomcat 4.1 and Eclipse 3.1.2

Hi,

I have a simple question, I need some help to install either SYSDEO or
LOMBOZ in Eclipse. I have try to work with SYSDEO but my Struts
project wasn't able to be deploy in the webapp folder of tomcat... Do I
need to deploy myself the war inside the webapp folder, Tomcat was able
to be run and stopped but I could get the struts application
deployed...

With Lomboz, nothing works... Is there a good tutorial about one of the
plugin that will work for sure??

Thanks

Etienne

Hi Etienne,

without an error message or something like that, one cannot really know,
what went wrong.

What is written in your console and logfiles?

i know, that this was working for me with Tomcat 4 and Eclipse 3.01. But
i am not sure for 3.1

What you could also do (this is what we do) is to run ant and deploy
your webapp with ant (or maven).

then you have more control about the deployment and can be really sure,
that after a clean and redeploy all your classes are really the current ones

Newbie question; why (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4)) is ((1 2) 3 4) and not ((1 2) (3 4))
Hi, I just started to learn LISP, and stumbled in SICP upon (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4)) is evaluated to ((1 2) 3 4) I do not understand why this is not: ((1 2) (3 4)) because (cdr (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4))) is (3 4) and (car (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4))) is (1 2) Is there a logical explanation? LISP is the name of the programming language invented in 1959 by John McCarthy and of the first program implementing it written amongst other by Steve Russel, one of his students. LISP 1.5 is a segueing version of that same program dating about 1962 that had some distribution. Then various lisp languages were developed at various places by various teams. Names such as MacLisp, InterLisp, LeLisp, StandardLisp, vLisp, Lisp Machine Lisp, Scheme, GNU Emacs Lisp, etc. It was quite a mess, and people had a hard time sharing programs. So they talked and designed and wrote and voted and produced the ANSI Common Lisp standard (in the USA), meanwhile in Europe they produced the ISO Lisp standard. Nowadays, almost all the other lisps are "dead", with only scheme (current version r5rs, r7r...

Serialization between Java 1.1.4 and Java 1.4.1
Hello, It seems to me to be in some kinda trouble. I wanted to implement communication between Java applet and Server through sockets and Serialization. So, I serialize Object, send it to server which deserialize it with no problems. In other direction problems came out since Object serialized under Java 1.4.1 seems to be not deserializable under Java 1.1.4. (MS VM). If applet si run under J2, there are no problems, but I cannot push people to download some 15MB of new JRE just to accomplish my requirements, especially if applet needs not implementation of features of new JRE... ...

How to integrate gcc 3.4.4 to Tornado 2.2.1 for VxWorks 5.5.1
Hi, all. Did anybody tried to integrate the gcc 3.4.4 to Tornado 2.2.1, whose native compiler is gcc 2.96 ? I know that the gcc 3.4.4 is delivered as part of Workbench IDE with VxWorks 6.x and generally it is supported by WindRiver. If you tried and, hopefully, succeeded to integrate the compiler, please outline the procedure or, alternatively, point me to a resource explaining this issue. If you tried and not succeeded, please give me an indication - whether, in your opinion, it is possible at all. Conflict Java 1.3.1 and 1.4
Hey all, Question........ I use two different webpages that are Java run. One using Version 1.3 and the other 1.4. If one of the versions is installed the other page is no longer viewable and Visa versa. Is there a way to link the version to be used by the specific page? Other solutions are welcom. The two pages are not self made. (one is BMC the other is CA made) Ivo Exactly what technology are you using here? Are these pages JSP/Servlets or Applets? If you're using JSP/Servlets, you can only use one JDK version per instance of the servlet container. You can run two containers on the same machine (as long as they are bound to different ports). -Nathan ivo.mulders@abp.nl (Ivo Mulders) wrote in message news:<4dae8763.0310060117.19e03e40@posting.google.com>... > Hey all, > Question........ > I use two different webpages that are Java run. Java 1.4.2 Vs 1.5 Vs 1.6 #2
I'm sure this question has been posted but I've not found any definitive answer. I maintain a product line that consists of a dedicated Linux system running Java to provide a GUI interface as a control system for underlying hardware. I've been working to move to jdk 1.5 (not hard but I'm busy) and now this new DST thing which is not covered by the version I've been porting to (1.5.0-b64) makes me want to rething about going to the latest 1.6. It seems every version change had problems in the beginning and I didn't even try 1.6 because of that. Now I'm thinking about it again. Can anyone give me a level of comfort about just going to the latest jdk and jre? Is there an advantage to going to the latest 1.6 versus the last 1.5? The liability of 1.6 is, of course, it's not as tested as the previous releases but, as java has matured, I think that some of that may be pretty minimal. I don't have enough data to judge. Can I get opinions? Any input is greatly appreciated. Hi all, in the office I work with RAD 6.0, and at home I work with Eclipse 3.1.1. I need a very good UML Modeling Editor for Eclipse like RAD has. The list of uncomplete features for such an Eclipse plugin (compared with what RAD 6.0 offers) is quite long... So: could somebody...

It "looks" to me this is related to the screen saver (I'm not sure). The original Bittorrent client works continuously.
