Quick Drop not working?

I am using LV version 15.0.0f2 on a Windows 7 virtual machine on a Mac OSX =
host using Virtual Box. The Quick Drop capability simply does not work, wh=
ether I use View>>Quick Drop or ctrl+Space Bar. The Front Panel or Block D=
iagram loses focus, but no Quick Drop window appears.

Has anyone else seen this problem and, perhaps, found a solution? I will g=
o to NI next if there is no known solution.

Thanks,
Jay

I edited LABVIEW.INI and it solved my problem.

This does not appear to be a very active discussion group; I will switch to=
 NI's LabVIEW forum.

Here's Why Prism Data Works Dropped eCS So Quickly...
Former online vendors of eComStation, Q-systems and Prism Data Works (formerly Indelible Blue), dropped the product within weeks after receiving product complaints and demands for full refunds. Prism Data Works, a new company arising from the former and quite honorable ashes of "Indelible Blue", were trying hard to established a reliable "seller's" reputation but their association with Serenity and the piss-poor eCS product caused them adverse publicity. Prism Data Works went out of business. Q-Systems, OTOH, did not walk away from eComStation quietly. They were so...

labview dll fails to work while original VIs work perfectly
Hello, I have a little problem to which I have no clue. I have compiled a project to a DLL ant tested it with a test VI. While the test VI runs perfectly when calling other VIs it freezes when calling the DLL. Has anyone an idea ? It works like this. I start initializing the references to four ActiveX controls and then begin to dump video files on my disk and write the metadata in a database. Then I launch a VI that commands the process to stop when pressing on the stop button.<img src="http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/9046/vivsdllth2.png"> Thanks a lotMilas Oh and the databas...

It works! It works!
Hey folks, Remember I posted some queries a while back about doing manipulations on directory trees and how tricky it was to keep everything consistent? Well, I've got a basic implementation up and running, and I'm proud to say that it works wonderfully. For those that are curious (Mr French?), I might divulge a bit about how it works :-) Many thanks for the help you folks have given me. I'll probably have a few more queries in the fairly near future, but it's great to get something up and running :-) MH. On Wed, 14 Jan 2004 02:16:31 +0000, "Martin Harve...

does work
Hi there! Thanks for your solution. I've noticed that Matlab is doing some weird things as "dx", the smallest difference between two levels, decreases. Can someone please help me to avoid this issue and maybe explain to me, why it occurs? my levels are: levels = 1.0e+003 * 0.0010 0.0032 0.0100 0.0316 0.1000 0.3162 1.0000 As you can see, dx is 2.2 here. (length(cmap2) is always = 1000/dx) I've uploaded some pictures for various manually changed dxs here: http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/4315/dx1.png Can anyone please help me? this was meant to be...

Getting an old Labview 4.1 prog working with Labview 8
Hi, We've an old program for a mass flow controller that was written in labview version 4.1, however labview ver. 8 does not seem to recognise many of the functions, such as AI Clear and AI read. There does not seem to be a problem with Labview 6 recognising the old program. In short I am wondering if there is some quick fix or if the best thing to do is to uninstall ver.8, and install ver. 4.1. :robotsad:Regards,Harry I am not sure what you mean. If you mean... did I load the version 4.1 program into version 6, save it, and then load it into 8? No I didn't think of that. Do you thin...

Will my LabView Application Builder 4.0 work with my Labview 4.1?
Upgrading LabView 4.1 is not an option, due to legacy software/hardware issues, but I need to make the code either password-protected or an executable for software configuration purposes. From our software library archive, I can only find Application Builder 4.0 Hi, in all of the "newer" LV-versions it is possible to save into "one step back" - Version ( LV6.1 ==> to LV6.0). It should be possible for you to save your LV4.1-application to LV4.0 and then create an .exe. Find this under "Save with Options" \ "Save for previous" ... hope this works f...

Save VI developed in Labview 6.1 to work in Labview 5.1
I have been working with Labview 6.1 but I need to execute my VIs in Labview 5.1 too. What can I do to reuse all the VIs without having to develop them again in Labview 5.1? I am not able to save my VIs as 5.1 from Labview 6.1 It only allows me to save them as Labview 6.0 Thank you! Assuming they can be converted, and there's not too many, you might want to try posting them here for someone to convert. (convert to 6.0 first and zip) Not too elegant but may get you out of a bind. Hello, Yes, each new version of LabVIEW only carries the capability to save for one version previous. So, y...

Quick Install "work-around" for Vista doesn't work
After being forced to switch to Windows Vista, I found that it wouldn't work with Quick Install to install e-books or programs on my Palm Tungsten E2. Reformatting the card and trying again had no effect. "Card Info" shows "416.0 kb use...

Working with the Blackfin and Labview
Hello, I've been hearing more about Labview's ability to develop applications for ADI's Blackfin and was wondering just how easy it is. If anyone has some experience using Labview with the Blackfin I would like to hear your opinions. I like the ability to run the Labview code on the DSP but was wondering about the interface, I assume that Labview has the ability to use ADI's emulators to interface with the DSP, am I correct? Also, how fast does Labview code run on a Blackfin, how much overhead is associated with Labview coding? I always thought that to be the best performance f...
