Hallo Tristan,
Do you have integrated trajectory planning as functions in motion software? Can you send me any document about them?

Can't get labview to write continiously to spreadsheet, writes one column each time program is run, then appends data the next time it is run.
I am attempting to write load cell, linear transducer and time stamp to EXCEL. Due to the limited room in EXCEL I have a sample rate of 10/second. This is accomplished by setting the DAQ assistant to one sample (HW timed) in the acquisition mode of the task timer. A wait timer set at a loop rate of 1000 millaseconds is included in the "while" loop to slow the sampling rate down. This works well. Now the data is taken outside of the loop and entered into a "build array" block and then into a "write to spreadsheet" block. This generates only one row of&...

Is there a way of loading .config that was used to build RH9 as it is distributed, because my approach does not do that. The only thing I'm after is to recompile it exactly as it is out-of-the-box + crypto API + loopback device support, nothing else. How can I run a labview 7.2 vi in labview 8.2
We have several versions of labview running different test and control functions in our facility. There are labview 7.2 VIs in a production setting I wish to reproduce in the test lab. Can I convert them to run on 8.2 or do I have to recreate them in 8.2. I tried to open one in 8.2 and got multiple SubVI's that were not in my program library.. most dealing with AI manipulation. And make sure you have backup copies of your 7.x code. Once you load and save in 8.2, it is a lot of work to get them back to 7.x. Note I used 7.x because I am unaware of LabVIEW version 7.2 even existing. 7.1.1 was the last release prior to 8.0 ...

Trying to Identify what's wrong with this laptop I'm refurbing... it's running super slow... #2
I picked up a throw away Compaq Armada E500 a while back that has some pretty nasty looking plastic external case damage, and am just now getting around to having a look at it to see what's worth saving and what's really e-waste, or if I should buy a couple plastic panels for it.. fix it up.. and parhaps she'll be good as new. I formatted a little trial 3GB drive in NTFS, laid down a fresh copy of Win2kPro, installed all the latest drivers from compaq and service packs and critical updates from MS. I was hoping at some point during the patching and driver updating, that the system would take off running, but it never happened. At 600 MHz, the system is behaving VERY sluggish. Specifically, it's launching applications horrifically slowly. Once you're inside an application, it behaves a bit more normally. If I were taking a random stab, I'd say it feels like the pipe to the HD, or the HD itself is the problem. I figured, I should be able to find some benchmarking tools and/or diagnostic tools online that might be able to point me in the right direction. Like... tell me if my HD access times are the culprit, or if I likely have a bad DIMM of RAM. I ran the combined performance index wizard in Sisoftware Sandra, but I can't say it much helped in pin pointing the culprit. It showed my Hard Drive was below the benchmark, but that's true, my 3 GB IBM DYKA-23240 was indeed below the closest 4 GB benchmark drive for which comparison data was b...

Re: LabVIEW and LabVIEW RT?
Hello Iman, I will try to illustrate it with an example since it all will depend on the type of application you would like to implement. Let's say you would like to implement an application where you log data, maybe exchange data with databases and you acquire a bunch of data points at a time not performing any type of control and where high determinism is not needed. In this case LabVIEW for Windows work great. If you on the other hand would like to implement a closed-loop application where you need high determinism and reliability and will acquire data point by point you would use LabVIEW RT which is an add-on to LabVIEW. I.e. you need LabVIEW + LabVIEW RT when developing an RT application. ...

Sorry, I never provided my original test code and, in the interim, discovered the answer. First, the test code was: data test1; input date permno x; lx=lag(x); put _all_; lx=lag(x); put _all_; datalines; .. 4 2 1 4 . 2 4 1 ; data test2; input date permno x; do i=1 to 2; lx=lag(x); put _all_; end; datalines; .. 4 2 1 4 . 2 4 1 ; I found the reason for the observed difference in the documentation, namely: "Each occurrence of a LAGn function in a program generates its own queue of values."
