Runtime 7.1 and Runtime 7.1.1

Hi,all

I wrote VI sequencer that can run different VI's. I was built this sequencer to exe in LabVIEW 7.1.1 and it work as executable and run VI's in run-time engine 7.1.1
Now i have some VI that was wrote in LabVIEW 7.1 and executable can't run it, because VI opened with error:

"VI has an error of type A340. Full development version of LabVIEW is required for fix the errors"

But when i open this VI in LabVIEW 7.1.1 it hasn't errors and only it opened as changed VI (with star) because there is different LV version.

There is some solution for this problem?

xlf 7.1.0 and 7.1.1 runtime library compatibility
We have clients using our AIX 4.3.3 xlf 7.1.0 compiled programs. In order to install a PTF to fix a compiler problem, we may have to upgrade to xlf 7.1.1. We have been sending libxlf90.a with our fortran executables. After going to 7.1.1, will we have to redistribute the new libxlf90.a to our clients when we send newly compiled programs? What about previously compiled 7.1.0 programs? will they work with the new libraries? Will we have a compatibility problem? thank you. The idea is that current runtime levels support older programs. You will likely want to test the existing product levels with the new runtime, just to be safe, and then build/test your new product level again. Ideally, though, only those things you have to change/enhance/fix will need to be installed by the customer. I.e. older + newer components of your application should work together. -- Gary R. Unable to install LV Runtime Engine 7.1.1 with LabVIEW Professional 8.5.1
I installed LabVIEW Professional Sys. for Windows (XP) 8.5 and then the 8.5.1 update. Somewhere in the original installation, LV Run-time Engine 7.1 was installed. But I need LV RTE 7.1.1. So I attempted to install RTE 7.1.1. Problem: The LV RTE installer aborts with the following message: "Installation aborted. Newer version already installed." Why do I need 7.1.1? I must run some commercial LV executables that were compiled with LV 7.1.1 and will not run under 7.1. :smileysad: You may have to uninstall RTE 8.5.1 to proceed with the 7.1.1 install and then reinstall RTE 8.5.1. I hope this helps! Well, I have to correct myself. MAX indicated that LV RTE 7.1 (not 7.1.1) was installed. My complied LV app indicated that 7.1.1 was not installed. I checked Windows Add New Programs and selected "National Instruments Software" I found that LV RTE 7.1.1 was, in fact, installed. So I selected LabVIEW Runtime Engine 7.1.1 and clicked Repair. After rebooting, My app works correctly. Again, MAX incorrectly displays LV RTE 7.1 (not 7.1.1). My app works, so I don't care. :smileyhappy: ...

Runtime Engine 7.1.1 Disk 2 when starting Labview
I have labview version 8.2.1 installed on my computer. The other day I installed some application by another company that must have installed Labview Runtime Engine 7.1.1 on my computer. I didn't need that program anymore, so I uninstalled it. Now anytime I try to run any labview programs on my computer, I get several dialog boxes wanting me to put NI Labview Runtime Disk #2 in my CD drive. How can I get rid of these dialog boxes? Please help!!! Hi bkundework, This issue seems very strange but I do have a few suggestions. The first idea that comes to mind is to repair LabVIEW 8.2.1 from Add/Remove Programs. If you no longer have the 8.2.1 disks or if a repair does not work, you should install the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 8.2.1. This download is available on NI?s website. These two ideas are the easiest ways to possibly fix things. If they don?t, a list of all the NI Software you have installed would be helpful for going forward. Brian, I?m sorry to hear that didn?t work. It sounds like leaving that software on your computer may be the easiest solution. However, if you are interested in spending more time on the issue, you could use the MSIBlast utility to find and delete the 7.1 installers. This utility is available at ftp.ni.com/outgoing . Other than this, reformatting you computer is the only sure fire way to remove the problem (along with everything else). You may also want to post the...

krb5-1.3.1 on RedHat 7.1
Hello everyone - I'm sorry for jumping right on the list and asking a question (I usually try not to do that) but I'm having a problem with Kerberos on a RedHat 7.1 machine. We're trying to authenticate against a Windows 2003 Domain Controller but every time we run 'kinit' against it we get an error: kinit(v5): "KRB5 error code 52 while getting initial credentials" We did do a registry hack on the Windows 2003 DC to allow UDP packets of the same size as allowed on the Win2K DC (not the same by default). The authentication works fine against the Win2K DC but we'd like to run native Windows 2003 DCs so that we can gain some of the benefits. The biggest stumper for me is that I compiled and installed the same Kerberos source on a RedHat 9 machine, am using the same /etc/krb5.conf file, and am using the same 'kinit' logon ID as I'm using on the RedHat 7.1 machine and it works with RedHat 9. Is there something else in RedHat 7.1 that I've got to check?? I've got all of the up2date updates on both machines (although I know they aren't always the same updates). labview 7.1.1 rt application slows system clock by 1 second evry 25
Hi, I have an application that I'm trying to run on Dell 620 laptops. It's running under Labview 7.1.1 RT and comunicates to a field point 1001 485 network module every 125 ms. via a NI ENET to RS 485 converter. My problem is that when the application is not running the laptop system clockis fine. But, whenever I run the application, the system clockslows so that it loses about 1 second out of every 20.The problem is repeatable between 2 different machines, and does notseem to be related to antivirus (disabled), firewall (disabled), cpu loading(cpu use is less than 10%) , ram or video (one machine has onboard video, the other has a video card).Any ideas?thanx:->tb Hi Terry, This level of fluctuation of the internal clock is unexpected, so I would like to get some more information about the system: - How are you controlling the timing on the host machine (i.e. timed loops, specific wait functions, etc)? - How are you communicating data between the target and the host? - Is the Real-Time code running as an executable on the target, or are you controlling it from the laptop? - How are you monitoring the system time? - Can you narrow the code down to some specific functions that can reproduce the error? Let me know some of this specific information, and include a basic VI if it is reproducible on a small scale, so that I can investigate this behavior further.
