Search a Text-String for two possible outputs result strings embedded in the text.

I am trying to search a string that outputs result as "Sucess" or "Failure". I am configuring a device using command prompt, and I get a text based result as shown on the front panel after the configuration has been done successfully, namely the following:

C:\SHOAB\HCE-ME_Functional_Tester\LABVIEW_DEVELOPMENT\DIGI-ME-FCT\ConfigLoad>connectprog /upload /destip=192.168.192.211 /config=C:\SHOAB\HCE-ME_Functional_Tester\LABVIEW_DEVELOPMENT\DIGI-ME-FCT\ConfigLoad\ME211Prod.rci /username=root /password=dbps /reboot
Digi Connect ProgrammerVersion 1.3.19.0Copyright 2003-2005 Digi International Inc.
Device foundConnect to device: SUCCESSRead configuration file: SUCCESSUpload configuration C:\SHOAB\HCE-ME_Functional_Tester\LABVIEW_DEVELOPMENT\DIGI-ME-FCT\ConfigLoad\ME211Prod.rci: SUCCESS: Some settings may require a reboot.Reboot device: SUCCESS

I need to make sure that the device returned a "SUCCESS" in the three areas as highlighted in RED above. For this task, in the block diagram as you will see, I am trying to search for the three "Success" confirmations from the device (highlighted in RED above). I am not able to find any help on how to search for a string of characters, that could be either success or some other text.

Can someone throw some light on it, as the LABVIEW help files do not explain in depth if there is a way to search for a string that can vary. Although there exists a similar example on Ping test, but there since only one numeric characted is being seached its easy. But in my case, am not sure how the syntax would work. So I need some help here.

Thanks,

Shoab

Worked like a charm, as my output is consistent. I had spent quite some time, trying to figure that one out.
Thank you very much for you prompt and accurate help.

Text string to Hex number string.
4-4-07 In my application I read a string in from a .txt file. The string consist of 8 groups of 2 digits representing hex codes. Like: 0112010208020211. I need to convert this in to hex numbers 01 12 01 02 08 02 02 11 so that I can attach a header and calculate a check sum. When I load 0112010208020211 into a string control set for hex display I get 3031 3132 3031 3032 3038 3032 3032 3131, which is ok because I can add my header and calculate the check sum in this form but how do I get it back to 01 12 01 02 08 02 02 11 form to send to the device under test? I am in need of query the field and matching up the codes to the actually description in another table. example VAS coloum in tblVAS may have the following GOHSLBL MSRPCLIPHTAG in another table (tblDesc) I have the the code and the description like so: GOH - Goes on Hanger SLBL - Soccer Lift etc... Strings, STRINGS, and crazy strings!
Oh my head... Someone, please bail this choking programmer out of a fix. Here's what I got. 1. A multi-line Textbox control. 2. Enter 3 lines of text (each line separated by hitting the Enter key). 3. In my routine, I transfer the Textbox.text into a string variable, say sString. 4. Then I parse this string with my Parsestring routine that places each individual string into an array called sWords() and the string count into lCount. 5. Next is a For/Next loop to print each string found in sWords() at the same starting point on my Picturebox control (the textbox is in this container). sString = txtTextTool.Text ParseString sString, sWords(), lCount, Chr$(13) For x = 1 To lCount pctChart.CurrentX = XValue 'XValue is the x axis value where the user clicked on the chart before typing text. pctChart.Print Format(sWords(x), 1) Next x Suppose I type the following into the Textbox: One Two Three Well, when I look into the sWords array using the Watch window, I see: sWords(1) = "One" sWords(2) = "Two" sWords(3) = "Three" That looks good! But when I go to print it on the Picturebox (pctChart) , the first line prints right where I want it somewhere in the middle of the Picturebox. But then the next line is all the way to the left side of the Picturebox (x axis = 0) with an extra line between it and the first line of text. The third line ("Three") is also printed at the lef...
