Maybe you should ask in news:de.comp.lang.php.datenbanken.

Try this:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2929/info/rzahgictoc.htm

It has a button you can use to change the language to deutsch

Also maybe helpful is:

PhP, Access/SQL, Date comparison problem. (I'm new to PhP)
Hi All! I'm fairly new to PhP and basicly trying to learn right now. Now I have a problem - I have a fairly large collection of movies which people keep borrowing from me. And then not returning. So I've put together an Access database with three tables - my media library, a list of friends and email addresses, and a borrow table which uses foreign keys from the other two tables to see who has borrowed what. Borrow Table also has two other fields - the date borrowed, which is set to equal now() inside of access, and the date due, which is set to equal now()+14 - they are both "short date"s. Now I had another prloblem which was this: people would call me up at ungodly hours of the night asking if I had, say, The Excorcist. I would have to turn on my monitor, load up access, and then scroll through the list in order to confirm weather or not I had that title (I do). I've solved this problem by having a really cool and sexy PhP script which querries the database with an SQL querry based on the user's form. So thats that problem solved... So my friends come round at 2:45am wanting to borrow, say The Excorcist, or Mememento, and four weeks later I am looking for the exact same title. With my cool and sexy database its now really easy to know who has what, but what I really want is a PhP script (which I can set to run automaticly via the task scheduler) which would see what was overdue and then email that person asking them to return i...

php/sql problem
I know this might not be the right place for a sql problem but as im writhing in php I thought someone might be able to help. Im creating a registering page, where the scripts should first check if the business name exists or not, if it doesnt exist it should bring the user to a page to create the business details. If the business name already exists it should check if it has been activated already, again if it has been activated it will guide the user out of the process, if not it will attach the user to the business so they can login and modify the details. Any help greatly appreciated, it worked fine when registering a user to a business with out the checks, but when I entered the sql checking queries it went to hell. PHP and SQL portability
I just ported one of the apps I wrote using PHP 5 under Windows to PHP 4 under unix. I knew I wanted to deploy in this environment - and wrote my code in anticipation of running in the other environment. A brief summary follows: Portability was not too bad. However there were several problems I did not anticipate. One was that MySQL behaved completely differently. It didn't like the quotes I used. It objected to several simple SQL statements that I was amazed to find weren't as portable as I had hoped. SQL portability even between different versions of MySQL seems poorer than I had expected it would be. I also had two PHP language problems. One was that integers I had used as unique IDs in database fields started showing up as "1.556564658E18" under unix - and then they failed to match against the contents of the database they had come from. The same code worked on PHP 5 under Windows. The other problem was a mysterious problem involving recursion. I passed an object recursively to a function - and PHP 4 under unix behaved very badly - apparently making a copy of the object - or misbehaving in a very poor fashion. I had to extract the object from the call chain and put it into a class variable before things started working again. As a brief summary: SQL portability between these environments was apalling - worse than I had expected. PHP portability was not very good. Significantly worse than something like Java - IMO. I look forward to the ...

You can safely re-run these scripts as SYS without causing any problems. The pupbld.sql script is not run on database creation. IIRC, this script is run as SYSTEM. If you look at the script, you will see that it creates a table called PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE. If this table exists, then you should not need to run the script. Strange behavious
I have a query which runs fine in SQL*Plus but which will not compile into a packaged procedure (claiming that the table can not be found): SELECT DISTINCT Folder_ID INTO l_RootID -- remove this line in SQL*Plus context FROM ifssys.ifs_folder_items WHERE Folder_Name = 'Root Folder' AND TYPE = 'FOLDER'; -> PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist (If I get rid of the "INTO" by using a cursor - making the code identical - I still get the same thing.) I have tried "AUTHID CURRENT_USER" and "AUTHID DEFINER" in the package specification but these do not make any difference (as expected - it is not a run-time error). I have tried granting "SELECT" on all IFSSYS tables and views, but this makes no difference (as expected). I am starting to pull my hair out, and I have a horrible feeling I am missing something obvious, but I CAN'T SEE IT! I am running iAS 9.0.2 and DB 9.0.1 (I am using the DB inside iAS - I know it is less than ideal, but I am working on a tight hardware budget and this is a development server). SQL Stored Procedure from PHP
I'm trying to execute a SQL stored procedure from PHP like so: $sql = "exec ('usp_Locations_Sel 5065')"; if (! $result = mssql_query($sql,$DBid)) { exit; } while( $row = mssql_fetch_array($result) ){ // blah blah } The Procedure works from SQL Query Analyzer, and returns a result set of 4 rows. Other stored procedures, in which a single variable is declared for return, also come back to PHP without any problem. However, any procedure that returns a result set doesn't make it back to PHP. (I don't have mssql_bind(), etc) Any help would be much appreciated. CL > I'm trying to execute a SQL stored procedure from PHP like so: > $sql = "exec ('usp_Locations_Sel 5065')"; > However, any procedure that returns a result set doesn't make it back > to PHP. Not sure what you mean by "doesn't make it back". Do you get a PHP error or is your $result empty or something else? One possibility is that your stored proc is trying to return more than one resultset - usually because it is returning the number of rows affected as a second resultset. The PHP API doesn't handle this. To stop it, in the stored proc add this line before the start of your code: SET NOCOUNT ON --- Steve Steve, I get no errors, no messages, it simply doesn't do anything. I don't believe the proc was returning anything more than just the single result set but I'll give that a shot. I appre...

PHP And SQL UPDATE problem
I have problem with SQL update. Sometimes it can take 2-10 seconds. I need to make this update every time page is opened - ASYNCHRONOUSLY. I have read forums, php.net etc about running php code 'in background' after all data generated is received by user browser. However i cant simply use it. Nothing works for me, im on a paid server. I have checked the headers and all content my PHP outputs is zipped and send compressed by apache (content-length header filled automatically). Is there any way of running SQL query asynchronously to PHP script (so send query to SQL, query is placed in some buffer and function returns immediatelly?) TIA for help. Hi, Currently I use a program called DataSelect for running queries on my AS400 database. From Clarion 5.5. I open a DDE channel and have the outcom of the query running into a dBase IV file, from where I can access the data in my Clarion applications. I am sure there must be a way to run SQL based queries directly on the AS400, using the ODBC connection I have setup with the database, but I don't know how to set this up and how to ensure that the data ends in a table (TopSpeed file). Anybody who could help me? Thanks for your reply, Gerard Hi, > I am sure there must be a way to run SQL based queries directly on the > AS400, using the ODBC > connection I have setup with the database, but I don't know how to set this > up and how to > ensure that the data ends in a table (TopSpeed file). Import the AS400 filedefinitions into your dictionary using the ODBC filedriver. Then you can either access these files in your application as you would access topspeed files (kind of), or you can copy the contents to a topspeedfile (e/g using a Process type procedure) HTH -- Arie Rens (RADventure B.V.)
