I presume you are asking about OS/390 or z/OS.
In that case, you can't. The symbolics are elaborated during the reader
phase of JES2 or JES3 and are cast in concrete by the time the job hits

Actually Converter. In JES3 that occurs early on but in JES2 it only
occurs when the job has been selected for execution.
