[ANN] Text::Format 0.64, MIME::Types 1.07

  • Follow

I have released new versions of Text::Format and MIME::Types.

Text::Format is a text formatting library with hyphenation support (if
TeX::Hyphen is used) to format blocks of text using highly configurable
rules. This version of Text::Format is a bug fix release only. Find it at
http://www.halostatue.ca/ruby/Text__Format.html or on the RAA.

MIME::Types is a Ruby programmatic implementation of the mailcap file. It
will allow you to guess a file's MIME content type based on the extension.
Find it at http://www.halostatue.ca/ruby/MIME__Types.html or on the RAA.

I have also released documentation updates for Transaction::Simple
(http://www.halostatue.ca/ruby/Transaction__Simple.html) and Uninheritable
(http://www.halostatue.ca/ruby/Uninheritable.html).

Two things: I have received a couple of messages about the documentation
link being broken. My apologies. Some part of my definition/upload process
insists upon adding either \n<?xml version="1.0"...?> or <?xml...?>
declarations at the top of the document, which appears to break most
browsers -- maybe because the rdoc might not be completely valid XHTML (it
should be, though, I'm running TidyHTML on it in XHTML mode). Regardless of
the cause, and I am investigating, this has been fixed.

Second, and I'm not releasing an update for it, the Text::Format
documentation still refers to 0.64. As the only change between 0.63 and 0.64
was the #paragraphs bug fix, this isn't a big deal.
