Most likely a rate issue.

How about telling us:
	1) OS
	2) Window Manager

In all these platform combinations, the binding of <Shift-* does not work. For example, for Shift-F1, I get XF86_Switch_VT_1 (see xmodmap dump below), but the binded script is not triggered. tcl 8.5/8.4 difference
Hi TCLers, I've found a strange behaviour in Tcl 8.5.7 and 8.5.5 (vs. 8.4.19) when working with Pgtcl (pgaccess.tcl). The effected code line is (after a successfull database select): pg_result $pgres -assign curr_tabs The variable $pgres contains the correct handle (e.g. "pgsql6.0"), but Tcl 8.5 crashes with the message: Tcl_SetIntObj called with shared object whereas Tcl 8.4 continues without any error. I know that it is hard to analyze this problem without code, examples, .... but maybe the error behaviour brings some 1st idea where to start the search. I will investigate the problem more deeply. Why this RegExp is not working on TCL 8.5?
Hi, I was trying pieces of regular expressions testing on tclsh, when I came to this behaviour; I did the following sequence: % set a {aaaAAAaaa} aaaAAAaaa % regexp (?i)AAA(?-i:AAA)AAA $a couldn't compile regular expression pattern: quantifier operand invalid Tried it also between braces delimits: % regexp {(?i)AAA(?-i:AAA)AAA} $a couldn't compile regular expression pattern: quantifier operand invalid I'm using TCL 8.5 under Linux OS. % puts $tcl_version 8.5 Why this error happens? I was trying to do case insensitive matching for a pattern, followed by a case sensitive matching (within the look ahead scope), finally ended by a case insensitive matching. Did i make anything wrong? Please help. [ace-users] Announcing the release of the new beta (ACE-5.4.8, TAO-1.4.8 and CIAO-0.4.8)
[The following is on behalf of the PrismTech build-czars!] Hi, We are pleased to announce a new beta of ACE-5.4.8, TAO-1.4.8, and CIAO-0.4.8. We are currently working hard on the long-awaited x.5 release, which is slated to appear in early 2006. We therefore wanted to get this new beta out to fix several important bugs reported by our users, which we greatly appreciate as always. We've added a number of sub-setting improvements that reduce the static/dynamic footprint of ACE+TAO significantly (www.dre.vanderbilt.edu/Stats has all the details). We've also finally added support for Real-time CCM to CIAO and DAnCE. This beta is contains the results of our major footprint reduction effort that started in the summer of 2004. Between August 1st 2004 and October 14th 2005 the footprint reduction for the ORB_Init application has been 20%. Dependent on the parts of TAO you use the reduction can even be more. This reduction is inclusive all the extensions that have been made to TAO the last year. Interested users should check out http://www.dre.vanderbilt.edu/Stats/ for more details. Note that the footprint has increased slightly again due to emulated exceptions having been disabled in favour of native C++ exceptions in all stats builds. We have deprecated support for emulated exceptions since there are no sponsors for this configuration. If you require emulated exceptions please contact one of the companies listed in http://w...

Linux font issue between tcl 8.4 and 8.5?
We are using a red hat version of linux as well as activetcl 8.4 and 8.5 in one situation. A developer pointed out to me that when he looks at activetcl 8.4, there are a large number of fonts available. But when he looks at the same machine, same login, in a activetcl 8.5 process, it only sees a small number of fonts. I presume this has something to do with the new truetype font support. Is there something special one has to do with tk 8.5 so that it also sees the non-truetype fonts? On the linux system we are using, the number of truetype fonts is pretty limited and applications do not look as nice as the same applications running against activetcl 8.4. So, we are looking for suggestions on dealing with 8.5's font handling situation. On Jan 20, 2:12=A0pm, "Larry W.
