Tcl SOAP - Tcl 8.4?!?!?! (Immediate Need)

OK -

Believe it or not, I have a "requirement" to use SOAP!

The last time I worked with this, it did not work at all. So the
following quesitons come to mind:

Has it improved any - and it is working on Tcl 8.4.1 or later?
Anyone using it for connecting to Web Services?
Anyone using it to provide Web Services?

I will immediately need to connect to a Web Service using SOAP (this
is the "only" option), and then later provide Web Services via Apache
(1.3 likely, but will migrate to 2.0x if necessary).

Any guidance or suggestions would be most welcomed!

Short answer: yes.

What does "immediately" mean to you? What platforms interest you?

I'm working with tclhttpd rather than Apache now, but I think Pat
has Apache covered.

Segfaulting string map (8.4.6, 8.4.7, 8.5a1 Linux)
I wrote a small stringmapper to display symbolic HTML entities (or at least those being under 0x100, that and above you use &#x;) and tried to do some timings to see performance peaks. Great was my astonishment when my whole application did a classic crash and burn. First impression naturally did go something like ::msgcat::mclocale fi_FI ::msgcat::mc "WTF?!" and that went just fine. Then I cut down the program and run snippet (included), crash and burn. I switched computer (maybe my SPARC build of 8.4.6 was corrupted) and 8.4.7 built on i686 went down, too. Only difference...

Need Oracle Patch for Oracle 8i (8.1.7) to make it to 8.1.7.4 WINDOWS Env.
Hi, I am a newbie here and looking for a patch which will convert 8.1.7 to 8.1.7.2 / 8.1.7.4 in a windows environment. I dont have a metalink account. If someone can help i'd appreciate it. Maybe some from the newsgroup knows how to get it. I need this for personal use (educational) Thanks. Regards RS Unfortunately the only way to get patches is through metalink and with a valid support contract. And you want to be running 8.1.7.4.13 on windows as a minimum. Freebsd 4.4 --> 4.8
I have been feeling good using 4.4 release for a long time before the motherboard upgrade. After the upgrade I have to re-install a newer 4.8 release for my hardware (SIS748+963L, SIS900 Lan, SIS7012 sound, Geforce 5200) on the same old HDD, I have previously got 500MB partition for 4.4 and I run X, netscape, realplayer on it. I've 4.8 detects my onboard Lan, sound but it's too bloated for 500MB partition. I want to know if I can install linux 6.1 package and XFree86 3.36 for it?? Also, I have an ad1 hd with an extended fat32 partition I can't mount in freebsd 4.8 using: "mount -t msdos /dev/ad1s5 /mnt2" but it can be done with freebsd 4.4. any hints??
