Dell Inspiron 8100 CD-RW/DVD-ROM
I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 running Windows 2000 and had to change the CD-RW
/ DVD-ROM, Toshiba
SD-R2102 but the computer will not boot. I get a message it cannot find
drive C. The replacement CD-RW/DVD-ROM is Ver No. 700 and ROM Ver is 1715.
The old one is Ver No D00 and the ROM Ver is 1D10. Any ideas what to do
next?
Thanks

Boot to BIOS setup, autotype the drive, if that is possible. You have
installed the driver?

Bad or inappropriate drive, or wrong or missing driver. Is there a
jumper on the new drive that needs to be removed?
