Keyboard Survey
In shopping for a laptop I realized that I would much prefer a keyboard
at the FRONT edge and forego the touchpad (using, instead, a small mouse).
Asking several friends I found that they all felt the same way, adding the
caveat that typists have gotten into the habit of using the front edge as a
palm rest which, I think, contributes to wrist problems (ever seen a pianist
play with wrists resting on edge of keyboard?)
At any rate, I'm curious about how others might feel about this. I
haven't seen any laptops with this layout...

Hi,
A palm rest is a palm rest, and should actually only be used during none
typing face, not while typing if you do so, then you can get rid of some
wrist problems already. However I found that my wrist problems only went
away when I started using a natural keyboard, and ever found a laptop
with that kind of keyboard built in ??
Mind you these keyboards do require some adaptation, and you either like
them or not ....
