Need Seagate Laptop Hard Drive

  • Follow

I need a used or non-working Seagate Momentus 80GB ATA-100 Laptop Hard
Drive (Model ST980815A - RK) or more specifically, the main
circuit/connector board from one. If anyone knows where I might get my
hands on one of these, it would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time and trouble - GW

Two suggestions:

1. Contact Seagate. They have sent me controllers in the past for very
little money.

2. Contact the local computer club in your area. They invariably have
members who have old parts lying around.

Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately, I have already contacted Seagate and was told that they do
not repair, nor furnish repair parts, for their hard drives. As to a local
computer club, I am not familiar with any in this immediate area but will
check into that venue as well.

Again - thanks for the response. -GO
