Thinkpad - Que CD drivers

  • Follow

Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a 3-year old QPS Que USB
CR-RW. It works fine with a Mac, and so far any desktop that I've
loaded it onto drives it just fine. When I load the Easy CD Creator,
that seems to load the drivers.

However, when I tried to run it with an IBM Thinkpad 1400 Series, I
can't get it to recognize it. I've tried uninstalling all the USB abd
USB-PCI bridges and re-booting, letting the P-n-P find the hardware.
That works fine for letting my plug in an external Zip drive.

But with the CD-RW, nothing. Que is apparently not in production and
I haven't found any drivers on the net that will make this work. Is
there something peculiar about this model of Thinkpad? It works just
fine in all other respects.

It's the OS. You need drivers specific to the drive.
