I am considering buying a Toshiba A75-S229 laptop. I would appreciate any
comments on the unit, plus or negative.
I will not be using it mobile very often so weight is not a concern. It will
be a second computer to my desktop, and used when I go to visit my children
for vacations.
Also, can the laptop be set up to automatically switch to the battery if it
is being used with 110volt and there is a power failure.

I have a A75-s209 and it's been great for me if that's any use to you.

The battery comes on automatically when AC power disconnects.
