Using Eudora 6.0.1.1 in Windows 2000/XP with Application Data Redirected to Windows 2003 Server

Does anybody have any experience with using Eudora 6.0 on Windows
2000/XP machines? Per the installation guide we are using Eudora with
user data stored in the Application Data folder for the user. Problems
have arisen as we've migrated to Windows 2003 Server and Active
Directory. Users now have roaming profiles (stored on the server) and
redirected folders (My Documents and Application Data) also stored on
the server. Some users also are using laptops with 'Offline Files'
turned on.

The problems we are seeing are...

- OWNER.LOK files are not getting deleted when Eudora quits (or they
are getting syncronized from the Client Side Cache to the server on
log out) causing multiple instance of Eudora messages. Proceeding with
"Accept the consequences" is resulting in TOC and/or MBX corruption.
- We seem to be getting corruption of IN.TOC on the file server. Does
Eudora support writing this file over a network connection or only to
the local machines file system?

Thanks for any insight.

Using Group Address Listings in Eudora 6.0.1.1 for Windows
I am trying to use the Group Address function in Eudora 6.0.1.1 for Windows. I put the addresses in the box labelled "expand to these addresses". Each address is separated by a comma. However, the mail does NOT go out. Is it due to a limitation of the number of addresses? I think there is something else wrong preventing Eudora from sending the message to several people. Transferring Eudora Addresses from older mac using OS 8.6 and Eudora 5.1 to new iMac using Panther !0.3 and Eudora 6.1
I have looked at all items on the strings appropriate or close to this problem back to May2004 with no useful input. I saved my old Eudora folder from my old machine on to a CD. I then loaded this into the new iMac and copied the Eudora Folder (not the applications folder) on to the desktop thinking Eudora 6.1 would see it and do the business. I had previously loaded up Eudora 6.1 (which seems to be working perfectly in all other aspects) and when it asked if I wanted to import infor from another application I said yes to..."from other". Migrating applications from Windows NT/SQL Server 7.0 to Windows 2003/SQL Server 2000
Hi, I've got a bunch of VB6 applications which currently run on a Windows NT/SQL Server 7.0 server config with client machines on Windows 2000. I'm planning to replace the servers with Windows 2003/SQL Server 2000 configs, keeping client machines on Windows 2000 for now. So generally speaking, are there many programming or configuration changes I'll need to make to the applications so that they'll run on the new configuration? What issues can I expect etc? I'm just after general issues any of you may have experienced by migrating from NT to 2003, and also from SQL Server...

MVP <wefp.bh@terra.com.br> wrote: > Anyone is able to copy and paste on the right side of the Address Book > (Nickname, Name, First Name, Last Name, e-mail address using > WindowsME? Yes, most people are able to do that. Are you having a problem with it? If you are, do you have your address book docked? If not, do you have it floating in the main window? (That means it acts like a mailbox window and appears inside the main window.) If it isn't docked or floating, that's the problem. There's a bug in Eudora that causes non-docked, not-floating windows to not have the focus properly when you try to copy or paste in them. There could be other reasons for having a problem with copying and pasting, but that's the main one for problems specific to the address book. -- Katrina ...

Cannot get mailboxes window to appear in Eudora 6.0.1
Greetings! I use a laptop that has Eudora 6.0.1 installed on it. My mouse went crazy on me one day and began moving erratically and registering clicks all around the screen. One such click caused the mailboxes pane to disappear. Soon after it started doing this, I shut down the machine and rebooted. The mouse was then normal (as I expected) but the mailboxes pane was (and is) still gone. I've tried getting it back by clicking on the 'Mailboxes' option under the 'Tools' menu but nothing appears. The mailboxes are still there because I can see them under the &#...

What you need to do is have Eudora installed in a place that you're allowed to use as a non-admin user, with its data in a location that the specific non-admin user has the correct permissions for. Also, if you want to be able to use it while logged in a more than a single user, each user has to have permissions for the temp directories used by all the different users. -- Katrina Thx, Katrina.
