Yahoo email - error: "There was a problem accessing your account."
Hello,
Everyone at my company is getting the following error upon logging into
our Yahoo Email:
"There was a problem accessing your account.
We recommend clicking the "Refresh" or "Reload" button on your
browser's toolbar. If this doesn't correct the problem, re-login to
your account. If the problem persists, click here to send us a report.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your
patience."
We have tried everything to resolve this issue but no luck..
Has anyone on Usenet seen this error and resolved it?
Let me know
Thanks
Dave

"our Yahoo Email"? One account or multiple accounts (for example one
per user)?
If the former (one account), then there's probably a (temporary)
problem with the Yahoo server which carries that account. Yahoo! Mail
has many, many servers. You can see which server is used by looking at
your browsers 'address' bar during (and after) the login. For example,
mine now says:
I.e. that account is_on/uses the us.f605.mail server.
But one of my other accounts is_on/uses us.f603.mail.
So in any case, let your users check/report the *exact* host.domain
name in their webbrowser's 'address' bar. If the name(s) are all the
same, then all you can do is wait for the account(s)/server(s) to become
available again (Unless you have the payed Yahoo! Mail Plus, which
hopefully comes with some kind of helpdesk.).

Does your company use a proxy server? This was an issue when yahoo was
an issue when the default authentication mode was insecure and could be
resolved by going through the secure authentication option.
Since they moved to Secure authentication, this should not be an issue
unless they still have the check to prevent "hack" attampts. They might
see the large number of authentication requests as different users and
lock your proxie's IP out.

If I found out that any company I'm doing business with is too cheap to get
their own domain name and server, and have to use
*giggle*
Yahoo mail?
*giggle*
then this definitely won't expire much confidence in my opinion of the said
company.
