I'm looking into shopping a delay box to do simultaneous delays and
pitch detune, chorous, flanging et al.. No big problem there.
The problem is that I'll want to sometimes use only detune, sometimes
only delay and sometimes both. Same goes for flanging et al..
I'll use my FCB1010 with UnO firmware, i.e. 5 presets and 5 stomp buts,
with the stomp buttons being used to select the delays as if they are
Pitch/flanging/chorous will be selected as part of setting up the rest
of my guitar rig per preset, and is supposed to 'stay' for as long as I
use such a specific preset.
Now, if I have a complete preset for my guitar sound, including pitch
detune on the delay box, and then select some delay, I'll loose the
pitch, unless I have the delays pre-configured _with_ pitch.
The way I see it, I can have two sets of delays configured:
One set without pitch detune, and one set with pitch detune.
I can then simply select delays from a set with or without the pitch.
Only, I have only 4 remaining stomp buttons available, and really don't
wan't more buttons than absolutely nessesary.
Some might say thats what program changes are there for. However, I'll
want to continue using the 5 preset buttons for controlling my base-tone
only, and modify my sound (with delay et al..) by other means.
Maybe I'm making up a non-existent problem... Only, it does seems to me
I'll need some midi gadget which can remember things, like which bank or
preset was active before switching to something else, to automatically
revert to the previous state. If such is possible at all ;)
