Cut Midi file - what software helps?

Hi,

I have a midifile (for a mobile phone ringtone.)

I want to cut off some of the beginning to shorten the file.
What software works for that? I prefer a free demo or shareware.

Thx,

Harping MIDI allows you to crop a file, you can also delete tracks and
notes you don't want, a new version is coming with fixed edit/copy/paste
functions.

DICONDE files
Hello, I am looking for a tool to help me create DICONDE (Digital Imaging and Communication in Nondestructive Evaluation) files. The standard states that "DICONDE utilizes the existing DICOM database of object definitions, and provides both replacement and additional module definitions that respresent a conversion between the medical community language to NDE" (ASTM E 2339) Therefore, is it possible to use the DICOM functions provided in the Image Processing Toolbox to create DICONDE images? Has anyone had experience with this? How would I replace module definitions from DICOM to D...

Gibson LPS II Pentrak Software
Hi folks. Been awhile since I posted this last, so I thought I would drop another message to see if anybody can give me some help. Im looking for the Pentrak software for the Gibson LPS II (Lightpen). It has the driver, config program, and I believe the painting software. I tried looking on Asimov and various other places onlint, but have had no luck. I even sent an email to the Gibson company's support staff to see if they could help out (no reply yet - somehow I feel this will be their response). Thanks, Chris Ryan nogard@cishollywood.com ...

Digital filter design software for Android phones
I have just created an Android app for designing digital filters. You can design Butterworth, Chebyshev, 2nd Order Shelf, 2nd Order Parametri= c, DC Blocker, First-Order Lag, Exponential Averaging filters and IEC 61672= -1 A-Weighting & C-Weighting filters (Class 1) with this app. The Butterwor= th and Chebyshev filters can be any order of your choosing. The app will calculate the filter coefficients, save them to a text file (s= o that you can copy/paste the values into your code) and plot the frequency= response. Most of the filters are designed by transforming the s-domai...

JPEG files on VMS
I'm experimenting with JPEG files on VMS, with a view (no pun intended) to perhaps moving to digital photography. (A while back, someone here mentioned a Sony camera with built-in CD burner from which one could just remove the CD and MOUNT it on a VMS system and view the files with, say, a web browser. Assuming it is quality-wise OK, I would rather go that route than mess with USB, PC-software etc.) I have some files which were copied from CDs of scanned photos provided by the shop which developed the film as well as some photos I've received via email. With an old version of Nets...

stand-along executable files from m files
Hi, just out of interest, if I manage to compile some m-files and functions and GUI into a standalong executable file, will I still have the same graphical interface that the m files generate (i.e. figures, uicontrols) etc. or will the executable only do the "maths" so to speak? what about display messages that come up in the command window. If I do manage to compile to exe file, the exe file will be able to be used on any computer, whether it has MatLab installed or not? Renaming .mat file issue
Hello all, I am a new MATLAB user, and I'm having an issue. I was given a set of .mat files and an m-file from my supervisor. I've been working with the data, and recently I was given more .mat files to augument my work. Some of the new files had the same file name as the old files, so I renamed them. The filename was of the structure 'xxxx_yyy_zzz_0##', where the x's, y's, and z's are words that do not change from file to file, and the number on the end ranges from 001 to 021. My issue is this: I renamed the .mat file name, but all the variables are stil...

Performance problem
Hi, I have an interesting performance problem - I'm creating a file /tmp/ out in a server & putting the JVM startup progress in it. The typical content of this file could be - JVM01 .....STARTED And I have 10 such JVMs in a machine so they all simultaneously try to write to this file at one instance. Now I found that Atleast one is missed during the simulataneous write at the beginning e.g. JVM08 might not be able to get a chance to put it's entry in the file. Now the work around I have is to check the entry for that JVM in this file in a look (say 10 times) & put ...
