fingering display MIDI tool

  • Follow

Hello,

I'm looking for tool which is capable to parse SMF file and display
righthand and lefthand fingering for piano tracks' notes. Eg. I imagine
it worked with MIDI file incl. just 2 tracks - first one is righthand,
second one is lefthand or with SMF type 0 according to middle C rule
split. Can someone help?

Best regards,

Almost any notation program will do that.

NoteWorthy Composer - shareware $39US to register.
Download a demo from www.noteworthysoftware.com

Geniesoft Score Writer - $49US to purchase as a download.
Download a demo from www.geniesoft.com

And there are many others - some may even be free.

So, You say NWC can make an analysis of piano track(s) and create
lefthand/righthand fingering for that? I'll look at that...

So far, the only software I've found which really seems helpful to
improve fingering abilities is Sibelius - sib plugin for Firefox works
really good.

Geniesoft is the best for the price....I know, I've tried all of them.

Thank You for helpful tip; just downloading to try it out. But
confronting with original problem - notation is less important (I grew
up on trackers), essencial is availability of fingering tool (for both
left and right hand) to improve fingering abilities when playing piano
parts.
