Greetings... As before, I'm still caught up in the middle of
moving house and will be somewhat off-line for a while yet :-(
The big news in midiedit 4.5 is that R and r range-operations
largely work. To define a range, you move to where you want
one end of it to be and press R, then move to the other end and
press R again. Then you can perform various operations on the
range, mostly modelled on some of the midisox effects:
http://www.pjb.com.au/midi/midisox.html#effects
namely d=delete the range, or p=pitch, c=compand, q=quantise,
r=repeat, t=tempo, v=volume. The compand pitch and vol effects can,
as in midisox, have different magnitudes in different channels.
Also, redo and undo are more consistent, and /=find now correctly
issues control_change and patch_change events as necessary to
correspond to where you've just jumped to.

May it be useful - at least I'm using it :-)
Regards, Peter
