Hello NG,
I have a prob with this yamaha KB: psr-4600
I tried out severel software sequencers
HW config:
AMD athlon1700 xp+
SB audigy 2 zs
NVidia TNT2 32 MB, AGP
cmedia (VIA MB) ac97 midi interface i10 e/o automatic
highpoint udmactrl pci
winxp prof latest patchlevel
asio driver but only working @ 48 khz :) (I receive an Errormsg,
that the ASIO driver could not be changed for use with 44,1 khz)
easi drv
wdm drv
sb audigy drv
directx 9.0b
opto midi cable, 2m vivanco,
midi out -> in
midi in -> out
connected
the midi/game interface on audigy isnt working,
thats why I reactivated the onboard chip
several sequencers, but it should work under
magix midistudio 2004 deluxe (2003)
midiplayback : softsynth microsoft gs
midi input: no device listet anywhere
only the mpu-401 compatible device is listet in the device config manager
no HW conflict at all
deactivated com 1,2 1394 (on audigy), par
bios:
com1 irq4 is on
com2 off
par off
modem+ soundchip off
midi401-port on
following happens:
if I start a sequencer I could turn on bg-rythm on keyboard
if I actived some midi seq on the screen, sometimes it works,
but false, like attack is false, low noise, not the right instrument
if I play via screen on a virtuell piano, the synth plays it correct
but if I try to use the synth as input device, this isnt work.
of course theres no inputdevice listed in the device man.
or audio/video controls, nor sequencer- midi-/perfs
I programmed the keyboard for midi use
both ways
But I cant use it only for midi-input :(
maby there is a need for a driver for psr-4600 ?
but I coulnt find any at yamaha.com, else google
Could anybody help me with this ?
thx
best regards
Joerg Freund
