You're repeating yourself, sweetie.

Two friends were out drinking when suddenly one lurched backward off his
barstool and lay motionless on the floor.
"One thing about Jim," the other said to the bartender, "he sure
knows when to stop."

lol ! "mono" and "moonlight" / silverlight seems to attract a lot of Linux
sheeple to Ubuntu!

Obviously DFS /forgot/ to read the warning at the top of the page.
"The following overview of page requests by operating system is based on the
user agent information that accompanies most server requests.
Please note that agent information does not follow strict guidelines and
some programs may provide wrong information on purpose.
This report ignores all requests where agent information is missing, or
contains any of the following: bot, crawl(er) or spider."
These wikimedia *request* statistics can't be be translated to user share
but lets look at the numbers anyway.
OS Requests Percentage
Linux 94,709 2.28%
Linux Android 33,036 0.79%
Linux Ubuntu 30,662 0.74%
(Linux Desktop Requests) = (Linux Requests) - (Linux Android Requests)
(Linux Desktop Requests) = 94709 - 33036 = 61673
(Linux Ubuntu) / (Linux Desktop) = 30662 / 61673 = 0,49717056086132 ~ 50%
So how did you came up with 80%, DFS?
From these number, the only reliable conclusion one can take is that the
great mathematician DFS has returned!
Regards.

From the data block labeled 'Breakdown per platform for Mac and Linux',
from which I removed Mac Intel, Linux Adroid, Mac PowerPC and Linux Motor.
The actual Ubuntu sheeple figure is 80.28%, but who's counting?

Nothing need be falsified to show the kind of shameless hypocrites that

Erm, no. It seems YOU dont.
From about 38K Linux hits, 30k were from Ubuntu.
You will notice the subject Line. "Desktops". Hard for you to comprehend
I know.
Using the figures in the mac/linux table that is of course.
Which is of course about 80%.
Do you know Rasker? He can't do basic math either.
Have a nice day now ;)

And which of course only takes eight distributions in account. The
data on the page is clear:
Linux without Android has 61673 hits. 30662 (or about 50%) are coming
from Ubuntu. The rest are other distros, of which the majority isn't
listed in the 'Breakdown per platform for Mac and Linux' block.

Linux now up at 2.28%
Windows down to 82.52%
All good stuff, eh?
Bearing news like that, you are welcome back :-)

That "38K Linux hits" (38217 to be precise from "Breakdown per platform for
Mac and Linux" table) is *not* the sum of Linux desktop simply because it
does not include the 22128 requests where the User-Agent did not specify the
platform (distribution) and does not include the platforms (distribution)
with small counts. In other words, the "38K Linux hits" is wrong and
consequently the 80% is wrong.
> You will notice the subject Line. "Desktops". Hard for you to comprehend
> I know.
If you had read my post you would see that I explicitly and correctly
calculated the Linux desktop hits at 61673.
Let me repeat the numbers again:
Linux (ALL) - 94709
Linux Android - 33036
Linux Ubuntu - 30662
Linux desktop - 61673
Linux Ubuntu / Linux desktop - 30662 / 61673 ~ 50%
From the numbers in the tables Ubuntu is at 50% not 80%.
