He must've gone back to writing proprietary code for a living - there's
almost no money in open source.

He wrote a piece of fiction about Linux and "Free" software winning...
someday. He tried to defend his idiocy on cola for a few days, but gave up
and ran away in desperation to make a living doing something proprietary.

Looks like it's self published via a vanity publisher?

I think be burst into tears when I explained the Mythical Man Month and
told him PhD beards are notoriously bad programmers and team players.
Also the other "advocates" started calling him a troll feeder.
He wasn't exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. He perked up a bit
when Creepy Chris started sniffing his butt, but soon was out of his
depth again after I rubbished python for a Video editor. Asking him
about what code he was planning to contribute didnt go down too well
either.
He was nothing more than a jumped up db admin anyway. I kind of felt
sorry for him,

It's a rambling diatribe on a par with the nonsense from Homer. You get
the picture.

Homer has to be the strangest Linux lulu in the group.
I'll bet he doesn't venture outside much and when he does it's
only in full battle fatigues.
A true nut.

Of course not... that's why IBM, Oracle, Red Hat, Novell, Sun, and a host
of other corporations write so much of it....

IBM does it to sell expensive hardware.
Red Hat does it to sell overpriced service contracts.
Same with Novell and Sun.

Go ahead and reveal how uninformed you are: tell us exactly what open source
these corporations develop, and how much money it generates for them, and
what % of their business it represents.
Or answer with your usual dullard, avoid-the-issue bullshit responses.

Tell you exactly? I can't. But, of course, you knew that.
Let's see...
Sun-Open Office/Star Office, and Sun makes money from Star Office, how
much, I don't know. And Sun has Solaris.
IBM, Red Hat and Novell are the top contributors to kernel code:
contributors/136317>
How much money do Red Hat and Novell make from their distributions?
Oracle has Unbreakable Linux (and soon Sun)... how much money do they
make from that?
