The new mono website:

Says that Red Carpet is the preferred way to install mono.

Why would they not want to use YaST ?

Also, I have two Suse installations.  On one of them I installed Ximian
Desktop -- which I like very much.

On my other machine, I use the default KDE.    My question is: why wouldn't
Novell/Suse set up Ximian desktop as the default since they own Ximian ?
