Apple loses its grip on tablet market as iPad and iPad Mini shipments decline
GADGET DESIGNER Apple appears to be losing its grip on the tablet
market, according to research by analytics firm Canalys, which reports
that the firm's iPad and iPad Mini shipments declined 14 percent in
the second quarter.
With its market share dropping to 43 percent, Apple's shipments of
tablet devices slipped from 17 million in the second quarter of 2012,
to 14.6 million in Q2 this year.
