Ubuntu Linux crapware: "spend more effort getting their system to handle their tasks than the actual tasks themselves."

I don't know about you, but this sounds like an operating system that
might really take off...

Thanks to 7 for this Linux self-nuke article.

The guy is clearly a "win-troll". How do I know? He recognises Linus has
some issues :-

"Typically Linux has some issues with various laptop devices, such as
Wi-Fi and audio"

"For both my personal use and my work as a system administrator, I use
quite a few apps for work and personal use that are typically only
usable under Windows or Mac"

"I am disappointed by the inability of several of my favorite apps to
work under Wine."

"But as you can see from my own attempt, a lot more effort is required
in order to make the transition."

Yup. Clearly, according to Peter Koehlmann or Dumb Willy Poaster, a low
IQ "windiot" with no clue. Doesnt he know that Willy Poaster has already
advised people that only idiots would use Ubuntu for "real work"?

....hmmm. Thinks he needs proprietary software that only runs under
Windows and doesn't seem surprised when it doesn't run well in non-VM
emulation. Imagine that.

Although "doesn't run some random WinDOS app" is terribly vague and
doesn't do a thing to address the question of whether or not that
percieved need is real or mostly bogus.

Those kinds of bogus perceptions also keep people away from Macs.

LOL. Good old Jed. Reinforcing the stereotype ...

No they don't.

Price and "no need to change" keeps some people away from the Mac. It
might have escaped your attention Jed but about 15x more people use Macs
on the desktop than do Linux. Your irrational hatred for all things
Apple makes your comments pretty much worthless.

Microsoft comes up with a need to change on a constant and ongoing
basis. What has kept Microsoft alive all these years is the perception
that they own the marketplace.

No. I am quite familiar with Mac marketshare numbers.

So I it hasn't escaped my attention that you are a shameless liar.

Are you that ignorant Jeb?

When a company has 90 + percent of the desktop market, it's fair to
say they own the market place.

So if Microsoft doesn't, who do you think does?
(I can't believe I'm arguing with an idiot like this).

No, not really. This is just Lemming FUD.

This mass hysteria might dissipate if not for dedicated trolls such
as yourself trying to continue the perpetration of this nonsense at
every opportunity.

More word games.

Nobody is perpetuating anything.

Tell me how something that has 90 percent of the market place doesn't
"own" that market?

   No. It's just FUD.

Most of what most people do with computers any more can be easily
done with any current OS. There is very little real vendorlock for
a consumer. Although business users are another matter since there are
lots of small niches that don't scale well in terms of secondary
platforms.

Sure you are. You are repeating bogus nonsense.
