Ubuntu Lurid crapware: "I'm also a victim... mouse and keyboard freeze together... 5 to 10 minutes uptime"
"Well i'm also a victim of some flavor of this bug.
Tried 10.04 LTS both 32 and 64.
In my pc, the keyboard "and" mouse (both at same time)freezes usually
within 5-10 minutes of logging in, the system don't freeze or stop at
all, just keyboard and mouse, by example: hiting the power button (the
physical one, in the pc case)start the auto shutdown.
I don't think hardware is the problem, because I have an Archlinux in
the same box running for days whitout problem."

Well it could be a hardware problem, caused by having dual boot.
In my expert opinion.

Bullshit Lopez. You wouldn't know enough to keep your arse backward.
It's more likely to be a failure with the hal daemon. Had something like
it when an update to glib caused a library load failure in ConsoleKit,
which needs to be started for the hal daemon to start. Hal is required
for X to recognise keyboard and mouse input. It was easily fixed in
Gentoo after a bit of troubleshooting by me. I'm sure there are
equivalent fixes in other distros.
