I went to work, where I'm a highly paid system and software architect.
Although in Quebec, I would have to call myself an Engineer.
As for you, how are things at Mac'ers?

Please - just for a laugh - go post in comp.lang.c++ what you've posted
here. That is, if you have the courage of your convictions.

What, you mean working as a highly paid software engineer? Fine. (Sorry,
but I'm not sure Architect titles count - anyone can call themselves an
architect - even losers who don't understand design patterns).

Oh for gods sake are you guys competing in some sort of blowhard olympics ?
Engineer schmengineer, architect schmarcitect.
Cut the chest beating (both of you) it doesn't impress anyone. What's worse,
indeed almost embarrassing is fucking up *really* basic stuff in your
enthusiasm to beat your chests and blow your horns about how good you are (AFAICT
both of you seem reasonably knowledgeable though I can't say I've paid too much
attention to this posing contest).
If I were Phil the prince of insufficient light (see Dilbert), I'd come down and
"darn" you both to spend an hour debugging some slashdot kiddies perl experiments.
Cheers,
