I can't seem to get an internet connection with my D-Link AirPlus
DWL-520+ Wireless PCI Adapter Card under either Fedora Core 4 or Ubuntu
How do I make this card compatible with Linux, and be able to connect
to the internet from Linux? The connection is secure and requires a
connection 10-digit key, which I have, and it works fine under Windows
But are their drivers for D-Link to work under either Fedora Core 4 or

First turn of the encryption and try to get it working that way first. Too
many things to go wrong otherwise.
Second google for DWL520+ and Linux
There seem to be a few Linux drivers for this card. Do not know whta their

Got it to work! I went into System - > Networking and set the wlan0 to
be detected. So it works now. First Linux distro I've been able to get
my internet connection working on!
Is there an upgrade of Firefox 1.0.4 for Ubuntu? I noticed it's running

Wireless mini-pci cobbled from D-link pci card-want to get one for wireless-g I pulled a mini-pci wireless-b from a D-link pci card over a year ago for my Dell Inspiron
8200 and it works great. I want to upgrade to a wireless-g mini-pci but so far I haven't been
able find another mini-pci from a similiar setup. I hear that the linux/notebook solutions
have been found for mini-pci setups. Can anyone point me to a pci card with a mini-pci

DLink AirPlus DWL-G630 wireless card with Marvel w8300 chipset to work.
I recognizes that the card is there and it knows which chipset it has,
but it does not recognize that there is a wireless interface, even if

D-Link DSM-320 Wireless media adapter?? ** I apologize if this is not the correct group to address this
question to... If there is a better suggestion please let me know...
I'm curious if anyone has experience w/ the D-Link DSM-320 wireless
media adapter (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=318)... the product
spec on d-link's site indicates it supports a variety of video
encodings (but does not specifically say it supports Microsoft's WMV).
However an article from PC Magazine
(http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1502611,00.asp) indicates that
it does support WMV...
Linux drivers for AirPlus DWL-120+ USB Adapter?? Hello,
Are there any Linux drivers for D-Link AirPlus DWL-120+ USB Adapter? I
am currently using Debian (Kernel 2.6.8), and I do not have an ethernet
connection for Internet, but do have wireless access. I might have to
copy the driver to a USB Flash drive/CD-RW to put on the Debian box.
doesn't show support drivers for Linux.
Thank you in advance. :)

best 802.11 PCI wireless card for use with linux? I am currently running Mandrake 9.1 on my desktop system.
We are getting 802.11 wireless soon and I want to know which wireless PCI
card I should get to get the best linux support?
If there is a wireless PCI card with open-source drivers, great, I will get
that one if I can find it :)
Otherwise, I will have to get whichever one has the most usable native
linux binary drivers.

Anyone using Belkin wireless ethernet adapter (or D-Link product)? Has anyone successfully used a Belkin wireless ethernet adapter, model
F5D7330, to connect an apple computer that isn't wireless enabled (e.g. a
Mac Mini without an airport card) to a wireless network using an Airport
Express or Airport Extreme Base Station? Any special problems?
In the alternative, anyone used a D-Link product, such as the USB wireless
adapter (DWL-122) or the D-Link wireless bridge (DWL-G810) for the same

Lucent orinoc wireless mini pci card on linux 2.4.26 This wireless card worked well under linux-2.4.20-8. After I upgrated
the kernel to 2.4.26, it didn't work at all. The essential modules are
orinoco_cs,orinoco,hermes,ds. If I boot into the old kernel 2.4.20-8,
it worked again as before. But I only could load module orinoco under
kernel 2.4.26, and the module hermes was loaded automatically. But
another two moduels didn't load as under kernel 2.4.20-8. Any one could
give the solution, thanks! Perhaps I wrongly configured the kernel with
"make menuconfig", but I've enable the related support under "network
