Fedora 14 ssh problem

When I ssh from an F14 box I get a false warning,

connect: Connection refused

The ssh connection is actually made and X forwarding is also working so I
don't know what this warning is referring to. This is an F14 problem only,
earlier Fedoras behave normally.

BTW I have selinux disabled, with selinux enabled I wasn't able to ssh out
of the F14 box after I regenerated the public keys (old keys had been
working, this behavior occurred after I generated fresh keys. Disabling
selinux and rebooting fixed the problem).

And,	`ssh -vvv ....` reveals what?

	`man ssh`

It doesn't reveal anything. The only failures also appear on F13 which
doesn't display the problem.

SSH works from LAN but not from WAN, hanging at expecting KEXDH_INIT
Hi, I am able to use SSH inside the LAN. But it is not working from WAN. Running SSHD in debug mode, pls find below the last few messages SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT sent[preauth] SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT received[preauth] kex: client->server aes128-ctr hmac-sha1-96 zlib@openssh.com[preauth] kex: server->client aes128-ctr hmac-sha1-96 zlib@openssh.com[preauth] expecting SSH2_MSG_KEXDH_INIT[preauth] I have no idea like why it is waiting here for the client in WAN, while the same client works beautifully from LAN(client is xterm and accessed like ssh <ip address> -l username -p port). RE: [ace-bugs] ACE fails to compile under Fedora core 4
Hi, Thanks for using the PRF form. You are using GCC4, that is not supported with ACE 5.4.0. Please upgrade to ACE+TAO x.4.9, which you can download from http://deuce.doc.wustl.edu/Download.html under the heading "latest beta kit". The DOC groups at Washington University, UC Irvine, and Vanderbilt University only provide "best effort" support for non-sponsors for the latest beta kit, as described in http://www.cs.wustl.edu/~schmidt/ACE_wrappers/docs/ACE-bug-process.html Thus, if you need more "predictable" help, I recommend that you check o...

Fedora
Why has Xemacs been removed from the Fedora standard package list? Is there some sort of disagreement between the Xemacs team and the Fedora team? Thanks. My guess is developer preference. They decided to only include one, and GNU won (I prefer XEmacs). Dave Cook "Tom Browder" <tbrowder@cox.net> writes: > Why...

pgsql yum update for Fedora system?
I'm using pgsql 7.3.4 in Fedora Core 1 and would like to update to 7.3.6 or 7.4.2 using yum to avoid problems. I have already found the binaries for FC1. But the directories lack the yum headers directory. Are there FC1 yum ready directories for these versions? Licenseing Problems -- HELP!
I installed SCO OpenServer 5.0.7 Enterprise. I have an upgrade license for OpenServer 5.0.7 Enterprise, and a full license for 5.0.5 Host. Question 1: Do I need an enterprise licence for 5.0.5 to use the upgrade 5.0.7 Enterprise license and do a fresh install? Question 2: To add the 5.0.5 license, do I just run `scoadmin lic` and add it as another license? -ee99ee ee99ee wrote: > I installed SCO OpenServer 5.0.7 Enterprise. Good news to all those who use Fedora Core!
Hi, xeuphoric (with the ROMS) has been accepted into the official Fedora Extras repository. It should hit paydirt tomorrow (all being well). Changes to the official xeuphoric aren't that big, but I'll feed them through to the xeuphoric maintainer if he passes me his email address. The biggest difference is that it now has a desktop icon (it's an Atmos) and a desktop entry. It's currently only in FC6 (rawhide) repositories, but should soon be in FC-5 as well. Note : it won't work on any 64 bit architecture. TTFN Paul -- "Der einzige Weg, Leute ...

Interfaces FE on Cisco 2821 problem
Hello, I have a Cisco 2821 router. It has 2 GigabitEthernet interfaces and 8 FastEthernet interfaces. But FE interfaces don't allow for assigning them IP addresses ("IP addresses may not be configured on L2 links."). Is there any possibility to do this? Other words - I want them to behave the same as GE. And the second thing. Trying to walkaround this, I made a VLAN, assigned it an IP address and make one of FE interefaces a member of it. I was hoping that, when I ping that address, the answer will be from the assigned interface. But it wasn't happen (there was no pi...

Shared object problem

problem with interleaving
hello again! http://www.glinki.com/?l=wyzj07 under the address You can find the matlab adsl_sim demo, which i reconstructed in order to get the possibility to introduce the burst of errors (as the vector in constant block in transmitter, e.g. [zeros(1,120) ones(1,20) zeros(1,700)]' this works allright when I plot it (scope). however, the convolutional interleaving doesn't protect against this bursts of errors. the BER is always worse, than it is for the non-interleaved path. the first frame seems to be allright, but not a single one more. perhaps it's a timing problem??? if so...
