hi!

i booted up kanotix live cd on my computer and it works
wonderfully!
now, i installed kanotix on the HD from the live cd but
it seems to be something else than the live cd...

wlan doesn't work anymore and who knows what is missing?

i thought the installation on the HD would be a copy of the live cd .....

what to do?

Sounds like something went wrong during the install.  I suggest
trying it again (goes fairly quickly).

LOL!

i read perfectly well both german and english (found some time for it in
school :-)
many thanks for the tip, will look at the site and also install once again.

hi again!

i got the wlan working! i copied the wpa-(something) in etc from the working
live cd in to my HD installation. they were for some reason very
different...

seems that only one problem,( well, sofar), remains: everytime when booting
up, it checks the whole HD which takes some 4 minutes. VERY annoying :-(

lots of strange behaviour here ...

now to install news and mail readers :-)
and check how to update the system and programs...

The 'stable' version is 2005-04, I tried the newer versions and
experienced some minor glitches.
