http://www.google.com/linux, search string: MAKEDEV package
Searched the web for MAKEDEV package.
Results 1 - 10 of about 7,590. Search took 0.15 seconds

did you actually go to any of these sites?
or did you just want to show off the fact that you
know how to get results from a web based
search engine?

very proud of you..

anyways. all i see is rpm's
and when i omit the "package"
(was not looking for an rpm, just the shell script)
all i get is links to linuxfromscratch.org and mirrors.

and i wanted something up-to-date with 2.6.0-test
which i don't think an rpm or linuxfromscratch would be.

what i didn't want to do is go through devices.txt
and do them all by hand,
but if there's even a changelog type of thing
telling me which if any devices are new would be helpful.

well, if you knew whether there was active development
on keeping the MAKEDEV scripts up-to-date
you could have referenced me to that...
instead of shoving google down my throat.

and when did google take over the web anyways?
