I'm trying to set up a PPPoE connection with Slackware 8.1 .

The chip of my Ethernet card is a Realtech RTL8139c

I uncommented /sbin/modprobe rtl8139 in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules

but I get the message "Can't locate module rtl8139"

So I suppose I didn't install the needed network support.

THE BOOK, says it's in:

slakware/n3/netmods.tgz

But now, the directory is slackware/n

and there is no netmods.tgz

What has replaced it?

Anything else that could be useful to install a Gnet BB0060 ?
