I recently tried doing an "apt-get update" and "apt-get" upgrade on my
computer at work. Unfortunately, I ran into one slight problem:
Preparing to replace hotplug 0.0.20040105-3 (using .../hotplug_0.0.20040329-4_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement hotplug ...
dpkg: hotplug: warning - unable to stat config file `etc/init.d/hotplug'
(= `/etc/init.d/hotplug'): Invalid argument
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/hotplug_0.0.20040329-4_all.deb (--install):
unable to stat `./etc/init.d/hotplug' (which I was about to install): Invalid argument
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
[ root@memory - /home/adamk ]: ls -l /etc/init.d/hotplug
ls: /etc/init.d/hotplug: Invalid argument
(which is interesting, since bash completes to hotplug when I hit tab after "hot").
[ root@memory - /home/adamk ]: rm /etc/init.d/hotplug
rm: cannot lstat `/etc/init.d/hotplug': Invalid argument
Is my filesystem hosed?
