I am having trouble with wpa_supplicant, and its blacklisting of ssids.
I try to connect to an essid (in this case eduroam). For some reason (eg
too long a delay before the remote authenticator returns OK) the first
connection does not get made. As a result wpa_supplicant blacklists that
ssid. But of course that is one that I want to connect to. I try again,
and not those ssids are not even tried because they are blacklisted.
This continues until finally the blacklisting times out in 5 min or so,
and finally I can connect.
This is insane behaviour. Is there some way of stopping wpa_supplicant
from blacklisting anything? Is there some way of fixing this bug or at
least working around it?
Here is an example of the blacklisting
1475156810.185774: wlp3s0: New scan results available (own=1 ext=0)
1475156810.185787: wlp3s0: Radio work 'scan'@0xdbe9a0 done in 2.949866
1475156810.185793: wlp3s0: Selecting BSS from priority group 0
1475156810.185801: wlp3s0: 0: b8:62:1f:e4:98:bc ssid='eduroam'
wpa_ie_len=0 rsn_ie_len=20 caps=0x1111 level=-60
1475156810.185807: wlp3s0: skip - blacklisted (count=2 limit=0)
This is really annoying, as it sometimes takes me 15 min to eventually
get connected. Or I get connected to a very poor connection which then
