Folks,
I have 2 machines running Windows XP home,a desktop and a laptop. The
desktop has a printer and a shared internet connection using ICS. The
laptop was originally connected on a wired network, and everything
works fine (shared drives, internet connection, printing.) I've now
got a wireless card and access point, and the desktop issues the DHCP
addess to the laptop. Internet connectivity works fine, but I can't get
to the printer or shared drive on the desktop PC from the laptop. If I
connect the laptop to the wired connection again, everything works
fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.
Jim

I believe you need to establish a "ad hoc" connection.

Sorry, I forgot to metion that the desktop is on a wired connection to
the wireless access point. So I'm not sure how you set up an ad-hoc
connection with the desktop connected on the wired connection.
thanks
