Greetings All,
I am using a LinksysWRT54G and would like to stop access to a certain
website on all pc's in the house. Using the "Access Restrictions" tab I
created a policy, entering the name of the site where it asks for the URL
near the bottom. I have it set for 24 hrs 7 days a week, and clicked
"Enable" and also "Deny" under PC's. The site isn't blocked yet. I also
selected "HTTP" above the "Add/Edit Service", which didn't help. Can anyone
explain what I'm doing wrong? The kids are wasting too much of their
homework time on cartoons..... TIA, Mark

I am sure this is not the answer you might be looking for but
Linksys has a good tech support for this kind of problem, they can
walk you through the hold process with no problem and have you setup
in no time,
here is a link that might help you.

You can accomplish the same idea by adding an entry to the HOST file.
This will give you some info.

You won't have to touch the router using this method.

I should have added... Just enter the site you wish to block like this
127.0.0.1 www.cartoons.com #Block Cartoons.com
The IP address 127.0.0.1 is your own PC, so it's not going anywhere.
